CT Face Art's goal is to give you the information you need to keep you and your family safe and healthy when it comes to hiring a face painting service.

Q: What is Full Face Painting?

A: Full Face Painting is quite special . CT Face Art specializes in painting the entire face, transforming someone into a character of their choice.  You can actually BE the tiger , princess, monster, or butterfly.  But don't worry CT Face Art can still do decal style or "cheek art " designs on those who prefer not having the whole face done.

 

 

Q: Does Full face painting take longer than "Cheek  Art"?                                                                                                                      

                     

A: NO. Because full face designs are done with large areas of color being sponged on with just details being painted with brush it makes it much quicker than most cheek art, that requires mainly brush work using much more detail work time. Cheek art or full faces generally take the same amount of time.

Q: What kind of paints do you use ? Are they safe ?

A: Ct Face Art uses ONLY FDA approved Professional  theatrical grade products.  It is mainly referred to as Face "Painting" but is easier to think of it as a cosmetic. There is no actual PAINT. These are water based meaning they are activated by water. Please NEVER allow your children or your self to be painted by Craft paints. You can read HERE a sample of e-mails from acrylic craft paints. Acrylic paints are commonly used by unprofessional painters and volunteer painters who do not know or do not care about the health risks associated with it's use. ALWAYS ASK WHAT IS BEING USED. Labels saying Safe & Non Toxic are meant for their intended purposes. Example house paint is "safe and non toxic" but not safe for skin use. It is important to CT Face Art to make sure you understand the difference.

Q:  Are all Face & Body painters insured ?

A: NO, Insurance is strictly optional and not required by any law, However CT Face Art carries a 3 million dollar liability insurance policy to ensure your peace of mind and mine. Some painters do not feel the cost of holding insurance policies are valid or they only paint as a side job and cannot justify the costs of insurance, but as with any business, insurance  IS essential. Always ask a painter if they carry liability insurance , if they do not , you know you are not dealing with a professional painter and will have no recourse should any incident occur to your or your guests..

Q: Are face painters trained in their field ?

A: Not always, Theoretically anyone can buy proper products and set up shop as a painter , But the quality of work will soon show the lack of any training. There is no required training in the field of Face & Body Painting.

Q: Can CT Face Art provide multiple painters and other entertainers?

A: YES. CT Face Art networks with painters from all over the world. The most qualified & best painters and entertainers that I feel reflect quality work and and strong ethics of work are utilized. 

 From clowns, magicians, musicians, to caricature artists, photographers, caterers, party planners, CT Face Art can provide multiple entertainers for your event.  

Q: Does CT Face Art do clowning or balloon twisting ?

A: CT Face Art is a face and body painter by profession. Although some may consider me to be a clown in general with my upbeat and silly personality. Some public events I dress colorfully, most younger children will refer to me as the clown, "mommy can I be painted by the clown". although I may be silly, I am not trained to be a clown. I am a professional face painter. I come to private events dressed appropriately for the function being held.  I can twist a basic dog balloon but nothing more, I am in the process of learning and perhaps one day I will add it to my services.

However CT Face Art works with many great professional clowns and balloonist , as well as other entertainers. CT Face Art can provide multiple entertainers at your event , just ask.

 

Q: Why is sponsor an event section password protected ?

A: This section is for businesses, both large and small, to find an event  to sponsor.  Businesses who want to reach their target market by providing CT Face Art service compliments of their company. The sponsor events section gives a list of  events available to sponsor including the town location and the fees needed for each event.  

Q: How do I obtain a password ? Can I have my event added to the list?

A: You can obtain the password by contacting CTFaceArt@aol.com  State which company and desired location you might be interested in. CT Face Art will provide you will password.  Your event can be added by sending e-mail to CTFaceArt@aol.com , give details as to  the Event type, Location, Hours, Dates, Last years attendance, types of advertisement you offer for the show.
